The Best Disney Land Trip

Nomen Global Language Centers took students on a unforgettable trip to Disney Land in Los Angeles. The group left from Nomen Global on a Thursday, got to their hotel late that night. They spent Friday at California adventure, and Saturday at Disney Land!

Some highlights were the California Screamin Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, the World of Colors water show, and of course our favorite, Duffy the Bear. Some of the ESL students, enjoyed getting wet on the rafting ride and laughing their heads off (especially Ricardo and Eduardo) because they got soaked every time. Another favorite memory of the students and staff that went was dancing by the Tron exhibit.

They saw all the classics including: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and went on all the famous rides like Splash Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, the Jungle Cruise, and much more!

The group drove home quickly on Sunday, but were able to take a quick stop in Las Vegas! Everyone had such a great time and many memories and inside jokes were made!
In the night, we enjoyed the fireworks and a show.

The Activities director, Spencer said "I just want to thank everyone for coming, being awesome, and providing us all with great memories!!"

Fall, Fall, Fall

The leaves are starting to change colors in Provo! The students got to go on a small hike to the Bridal Veil Falls waterfall located in Provo Canyon just a few miles north of campus. The activity students participated in during the hike was called a "leaf scavenger hunt." Students collected many different types of leaves from the trees and various plants on the hike, looking for unique colors, sizes and shapes.

Students not only got to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather and scenery, they were able to stretch their vocabulary and learn new words while conversing with other students and teachers who attended the fun activity!

Nomen Global Mens Soccer Team

Nomen Global Mens soccer team has been having a great season, getting lots of exercise, learning from tough competition, enjoying the outdoors and staying away from trouble and red cards as much as possible!

In the most recent game that was played the team was able to be victorious with a score of 4-1! Because they were able to win they have progressed into the semi finals of the tournament, with only 4 more teams left they only have to win the next two games to become the champions!

GOOOOO TEAM!!

Roller Skating

Bring on the skates! Students found that they were better at roller skating than they thought they would be, even those who had never been before. "We had our fair share of falls, but everyone had a great time despite some pain!" said Nomen Global teacher Spencer.

Students enjoyed the fun atmosphere and had a great time getting out and trying something new, thanks to all the students who participated!
